Dr. Joseph Heath, MD is a dual board certified psychiatrist with over a decade of clinical experience providing comprehensive psychiatric services for patients of all ages. With specialized training in both Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Dr. Heath brings exceptional expertise and compassionate care to every patient interaction. His educational foundation includes undergraduate studies in microbiology at the University of Texas at Austin and medical school training at McGovern Medical School in Houston.
Dr. Heath has extensive experience treating a wide range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders such as alcohol use disorder, opioid use disorder, and benzodiazepine use disorder. He specializes in working with children and adolescents experiencing behavioral challenges related to autism spectrum disorder and Prader Willi Syndrome. His patient-centered approach and evidence-based treatment methods ensure that each individual receives expert personal care tailored to their unique needs and circumstances.
